Letter : to Madame Renard, Paris, 1807 February 7.

This two-page letter was sent by the architect Léon Dufourny to Madame Renard two weeks after the death of the architect Jean Augustin Renard. He thanks her for her husband's book Etudes d'ornements d'architecture which, he says, is "vraiment classique." Dufourny thinks that the government should acquire and distribute it to the drawing schools, thus promoting "le bon goût de l'ornement," so important in creating high quality products. Signed L. Dufourny de l'Institute.
